Shankar has readied a story for Vikram

Vikram had acted in the super hit film Anniyan directed by Shankar. Since that film was a great success, Shankar had mentioned to Vikram that they will join hands once again. But after this Shankar was very busy in Shivaji and Endhiran

which had Rajnikanth in the lead roles and has completely forgotten Vikram.

At this point of time, Shankar who had directed the recently released Nanban has decided to direct a film that will have Vikram in the lead role. There was news that Shankar has planned to direct a film which will have Rajni in the lead role. Sources from Shankar camp have revealed that Shankar has readied a story for Vikram only.

RaviTeja 'Nippu' Release @ Feb' 2nd

With the shooting of a song on Ravi Teja, Deeksha Seth, Rajendra Prasad, Pragathi, Sri Ram, Krishnudu and others, Nippu's floor shoot is complete.  YVS Chowdhary is planning to release the audio in the third week of January.  The film will be released across the world on Feb. 2.

There are high expectations from the film for the reason because it is for the first time that Gunasekhar is directing a full-fledged mass, action entertainer.  Though a touch of class cannot be ruled out, it is a fact that Nippu is branded as a film where fireworks fly.

That Gunasekhar, Ravi Teja and producer YVS Chowdhary were room-mates before they entered the film industry is well-known.  Dr. Rajendra Prasad is playing an important role here.

Promising that the songs will look even better on the celluloid, he said that Raju Sundaram and Brinda were the choreographers of the film.

Pradeep Rawat, Mukul Dev, Brahmaji are also seen.  A comedy track involving Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam is another high light.  Gunasekhar has written the story and screenplay as well.

Shah Rukh Khan kissed gorgeous Katrina Kaif

At a recent Bollywood awards ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan planted an impromptu on-stage kiss on the cheek of the gorgeous Katrina Kaif. The sudden move caught many by surprise. While the kiss itself was just a sweet peck on the cheek, Bollywood gossip circles went into overdrive mode to read between the lines. Adding fuel to the fire were the comments from SRK and Katrina when asked about the matter.  

While SRK brushed aside the matter saying the Katrina was just a friend, the reaction from Katrina was slightly different. ” Katrina is a dear friend. The kiss was just a fun way of expressing our friendship. There is nothing more to it ” , said SRK.

“The kiss might have been a friendly one, but there is something magical about it. Its a whole new experience to get a kiss from King Khan” , said Katrina.

Tarun waiting For A Hit Before Wedding

At a time when every young hero – Allu Arjun, Junior NTR and Ram Charan Teja, are enjoying their marital bliss, talented young hero Tarun, though senior to them in the Telugu film industry, is still waiting for the right time.

Though he is not averse to getting married, he is looking for a big hit that once again makes him the talk of the town in the film industry, so that there would be much needed publicity for his marriage as well.

Right now, his immediate objective is to see that two of his shelved films see the light of the day. One film – “Chukkalanti Ammayi- Chakkanaina Abbayi” has almost gone out of the memory of Tollywood folks. Even the makers have washed off their hands, as they hadn’t found distributors. Tarun, however, hasn’t lost hopes in releasing the movie.

Same is the case with another partly finished film. At present, Tarun has no films on hand. There were no offers for him, after producer Addala Chanti had to face a disaster by making the film “Oka Oorilo” keeping Tarun in the lead role.

So, Tarun doesn’t want to stand up as a groom when his career graph is at the rock bottom. He has exhausted all his efforts to brighten up his chances, but in vain. Now, he claims that he has overcome the “lover boy image” as he had done enough of such films and wants to switch over to “action hero” roles. Don’t you think Tarun is day-dreaming?

NTR Fans Strike Thighs Against Ram Charan

Hero Ram Charan who has been busy with the shaping up of ‘Rachcha’ is not taking it easy and he has already began taking steps towards Bollywood. The news that he is going to do the remake of the unforgettable classic ‘Zanjeer’ has caused a stir among the Mumbai folks.

‘Zanjeer’ was the turning point in legend Amitabh Bachchan’s career. However, keeping the comparison between Big B and Cherry aside, fans of the Telugu legend N T Rama Rao are now throwing a challenge to Charan. Apparently, N T Rama Rao did ‘Nippulanti Manishi’ the remake of ‘Zanjeer’ in Telugu.

The veteran actor Satyanarayana reprised the role of Pran. So now, the NTR fans are saying “Trying to have a competition with Amitabh is okay but even thinking of having a competition with NTR is impossible. It is better for Charan to project this in his own style without comparisons.”

A schedule has recently winded in Hyderabad and next schedule is beginning in Pollachi in a day time and Harish Shanakr has planned to picture song, fight sequences and even talkie part. Already, a schedule was completed in Pollachi earlier. Abhimanyu Singh is playing negative lead.

Bodyguard Movie First 4days Collections @ 19.8 Crores

Victory Venkatesh's latest movie 'Bodyguard' which was released yesterday is getting positive response from audience. 

The movie also received good reviews from websites and media. As per the trade reports the movie collected a gross of around Rs 6.5 crore world wide on first day of release. 

The occupancy rate of the movie was around 85 to 90% on single screens and multiplexes.

The unoccupied rate is due to heavy competition from Mahesh Babu starrer Businessman.

It is known that the movie is official remake of Malayalam super hit movie 'Bodyguard'.

Mahesh Babu share @ Businessman

One of the biggest challenges for any producer while dealing with big heroes is to cough up the remuneration. In Bollywood, the situation is easy since the market width is large so total revenue manages to make the compensation. But here is something about Mahesh Babu and his deals in Tollywood.

It is heard that from Businessman, Mahesh’s remuneration stands at Rs 8 crores per film and 30% share in the final profit. On the other hand, it is heard that Puri’s remuneration is Rs 3 crores and he gets 15% share of the final profit. At this rate, even if ‘Businessman’ makes Rs 40 crores share in the end, the stats can be understood.

The trade pundits say ‘Businessman’ is sure to make more than the nominal Rs 40 crores figure. So, the prediction is that Mahesh is standing next to none other than superstar Rajinikanth in terms of remunerations. What remains to be seen is how will Mahesh change his scales once he makes his debut in Bollywood.

Siddharth’s Love failue @ Feb 14th

Youthful hero Siddharth’s new film Love Failure is set for a release on February 14 on Valentine’s Day. Love Failure is being made in Tamil and is dubbed into Telugu, where the dubbing rights of Telugu were acquired by Star producer Dil Raju. Both the versions will release on February 14.

Amala Paul is playing the Siddharth’s love interest in the film being directed by a debutant Balaji Mohan. Rana Daggubati's Luggage Woes

Actor Rana Daggubati had to go through tough time while dealing with airport authorities to track his misplaced luggage while taking a flight from Hyderabad Saturday.

"Air India just lost my luggage in a domestic (Hyderabad-Mumbai)... couldn't track bags that left from the Hyderabad airport since morning," the 27-year-old tweeted.

He is still looking for the luggage.

"Morning!! Headed to Chennai with all new luggage again on an Air India because of no other flt option. Lost luggage still not found," he further posted.

Can Resul bring home another Oscar?

As the race to the 84th Academy Awards heats up, none other than former Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty is championing the cause of Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu, India's entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category. 

The Oscars take place on February 26, but industry bigwigs and studios are targeting January 24 -- the day the announcements about which films have been nominated in various categories are announced. 

While the Indian entry tells an extremely culture-specific story of a Muslim perfume seller who wants to make a Hajj pilgrimage, Pookutty is reportedly trying to get around this limitation by wooing Hollywood's strong Jewish lobby. He has even visited Los Angeles a number of times and screened the film for various members from the lobby. Sources say, Pookutty believes this is the way to go and the story of a holy pilgrimage will ring a bell with members from the Jewish community. 

When contacted, Pookutty said, "Adaminte Makan Abu is not about religion. It is about belief and pilgrimage. These are themes that I'm sure Americans, especially the Jewish community, would identify with."

The sound designer who also re-designed and re-mixed the sound for the film before its official screening for the Academy members, added, "I'm trying to guide the film as much as I can. I've been to LA three times in the past one month alone."

To all those who were eagerly waiting to see if the latest release ‘Businessman’ will get past ‘Dookudu’ or not this should give an idea.

The following is the report on the first day collections of the film. The first day gross is being given as Rs 18,73,54,000.

Naizam stands first with a collection of Rs 3,04,18,000 while Ceded is reporting Rs 2,01,10,000 share. Then comes Guntur with Rs 1,03,08,000. Then comes East with Rs 75,05,000 share while Vizag has reported 73,48,000 share. West is showing the figure as Rs 55,73,000 share and Krishna stands at Rs 55,21,000 share.

Nellore is reporting Rs 35,17,000 share and Karnataka stands at Rs 1,00,00,000 share. The entire north India clubbed with Tamil Nadu and Orissa have given the figure as Rs 75,00,000 share. The Overseas market comprising of US, UK, Japan, Australia have collected Rs 3,00,000 share. That way, the first day share is Rs 13,78,00,000 out of the gross Rs 18,73,54,000.
